    HP iPAQ 210 now available

    This release from HP comes with some decent specs:

    • Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6 Classic
    • Marvell PXA310 processor at 624 MHz :) nice
    • 128MB RAM - :D - bought time HP!
    • 256MB Flash ROM
    • Compact Flash slot - nice to see new units coming out with this
    • SDIO slot - This better support SDHC
    • 4-inch VGA(480x640) LCD - :) - gotta have that VGA
    • WiFi 802.11b/g with WPA2 support - a must for those looking to have secure WiFi
    • Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR - more devices should have EDR support, good job HP
    • Removable 2200 mAh Lithium-ion - I'm impressed


    It is nice to see that there are still some high powered stand alone PDAs being released these days. It is kind of sad to see that not much has changed since my Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox 720 though since it had 128MB of RAM years before HP has decided to put it in their devices. I hope more manufacturers release high-end units like this.

    E-TEN announces Glofish X650 VGA Pocket PC Phone

    Yesterday, January 10th, E-TEN released a press release announcing the Glofish X650.
    The Glofish X650 is an update to the X600 with a nice set of features to its name.

    The features are as follows:

    • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz)
    • VGA (640x480) 2.8" TFT-LCD display - :) good resolution, small size though
    • Samsung SC3 2442 CPU at 500MHz - :) nice speed
    • 256MB flash ROM
    • 64MB RAM - :( that is a sad amount to have
    • 2 Megapixel camera with auto focus - nice
    • Wifi 802.11b/g
    • Bluetooth 2.0
    • GPS - cool
    • MicroSD card slot
    • Windows Mobile 6 Professional

    Windows Mobile 7 Plans revealed

    On the blognewschannel.com' microsoft feed, plans on the upcoming Windows Mobile 7 were revealed. Beyond being the first major revision of the Windows Mobile platform since Windows Mobile 5(sorry to break it to those that did not know but Windows Mobile 6 is nothing more than Windows Mobile 5 with a glossy theme applied, some bug fixes and minor feature tweaks) this new version promises to make changes to the way Windows Mobile devices are used.

    Among the new features include emphasis on finger based navigation and motion controls.

    The Asus P527 is heading to the U.S. market with Quad band EDGE, Windows Mobile 6, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0

    -TI OMAP 850 CPU at 201MHz (boooo again)
