Announced at Nokia World 2008 was the Nokia N97. The new high-end smartphone in Nokia's N-series line up. It features a Qwerty keyboard which is most commonly found in the Nokia E-series and a touch screen which is most commonly found in Nokia's N7xx/8xx series.
Also interesting on this devices is the 3.5, 16:9 aspect ration wide-screed LCD at a resolution of 640 by 360. That makes the device excellent for watching movies while on the go.

To hold the media content to be displayed on that wide-screen is 32GB of built in flash as well as an expansion slot (microSD) which supports up to 16GB more. No N-series phone would be complete without an above average cell phone camera to match, and the N97 comes well prepared. It has a 5 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens along with dual LED flash to round out its high end feature set. Like most Nokia smartphones the N97 will be running Symbian OS, S60 5th edition to be specific.

According to the specifications released the device will support GSM 3G around the world except for on T-Mobile USA's network since the phone does now support the needed 1700MHz spectrum. GPRS and EDGE will be supported across every GSM network though due to the Quadband 850/900/1800/1900 spectrum support.
